On this day in 1936 football star Jim Brown was born on St. Simon's Island, Georgia. He broke offensive back records for the Cleveland Browns, starred in films, and founded the Negro Industrial and Economic Union. Also, in 1963 Michael Jordan, who is considered one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game, was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Wilmington, NC. Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships.
This moment in Black history was sponsored by Senior Basketball Jam Championship Team.
