Teachers, please collect emergency contact cards and free and reduced lunch applications. Security will come by to pick up these items. Additionally, please include all FERPA and media release forms.
Students, you must re-apply for free and reduced lunch each school year. Juniors and Seniors, remember that fee waivers for college applications and exams may be based on your lunch applications. STUDENTS TURN THOSE APPLICATIONS IN!!!
Students, you will only be released to those individuals who are named on your emergency contact card. Please return those cards as soon as possible.
Students are reminded to come to school each day on time! Students if you are absent, remember that 5 unexcused absences in an annual course, or 3 unexcused absences in a semester course, will result in a no credit (N/C) for the class. Remember if you are absent you MUST bring a note and receive an admit to excuse your absence. Admits are issued in the Student Services Office prior to the start of school each day and during lunch and after school in the Main Office with Ms. Cheron. Do not be absent unnecessarily.
Students arriving tardy to school must sign in at the Tardy Center in the C Cafeteria. Students with excessive tardies will be required to serve an Administrative Detention. BE ON TIME!!! AND COME TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY!!! If you have any questions regarding attendance please speak to Mrs. Forteza in the Student Services Office.
STUDENTS, PLEASE ADJUST YOUR WATCHES TO THE TIME HERE AT MLEC. TARDIES TO SCHOOL ARE BASED ON JAGUAR TIME, NOT YOUR TIME!
Students, you are required to wear your Academy Uniform and adhere to the dress code policy. Ladies no open toed shoes are to be worn expect on Dress for Success days. All students must display their Student ID. Students not complying with the uniform policy will serve an ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION! Detentions are served Fridays, after school.

ALL SENIORS THAT NEED TO MAKE UP CREDITS IN NIGHT SCHOOL IN ORDER TO GRADUATE IN JUNE MUST SEE THEIR GUIDANCE COUNSELOR BEFORE OR AFTER SCHOOL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN THE REQUIRED FORM.
C Cafeteria will open for lunch tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th.
There will be a short Drama Club Meeting Next Thursday, August 28th in the Auditorium from 2:30PM to 3PM.
The Student Activities Office has a new home in what used to be the Principal’s Conference Room in the C Building. Students are encouraged to stop by learn more about all the exciting opportunities MLEC has to offer!
The Hispanic Heritage Committee will have its first meeting on Wednesday, August 27 in room F207. Teachers please come and bring new ideas for our Hispanic Heritage Celebration. If you would like to be part of this committee, please contact Mr. Pablo Rodriguez or Ms. Da Costa at extension 2350.
A meeting for all Club Sponsors for the 2008-2009 school year will be held Thursday, August 28th immediately after school in the Auditorium.
