Thank you to everyone you attend our Annual Resource Fair and Open House, last night. Because of you, our evening was a success!
Students who attend 2 consecutive tutoring sessions this week will also earn a MLEC credit card. Make sure you sign in for tutoring.
Points earned on the MLEC credit card can be use for detention passes, free lunch, and tickets to various MLEC school events!
The Back to School Dance will take place this Friday from 6-10pm. Students wishing to purchase tickets can stop by Mr. Rodriguez’s room in E204 or stop by the Prinicipal’s Patio during both lunches. Students are reminded to dress appropriately!
Tutoring has begun and will be offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:40 p.m. – 3:40 p.m.
There will be Open Auditions for MLEC's Production of "Deadly Deal" a murder mystery play produced by the Drama Club. AUDITIONS TAKE PLACE Thurs., 20th after school in the Auditorium. Please bring an audition piece with you, such as a monologue or scene. Cold readings will be available after all others have auditioned.
Hey all you musicians out there! Come join Music Club!!! Auditions will be held on Wednesday, September 26th, 2007 in room F123, Mr. Oxidine’s room.
There will be a meeting for all DECA members on Thursday, September 20th in room F117. All DECA members must attend.
All SECME members there is a meeting Thursday, after school in room CB-29. All candidates for office should have submitted your information.
Attention all Ecology club members and those interested in the Ecology Club. The Ecology club will meet next week Thursday, September 20th after school.
Drafting Club will meet Thursday, September 20th, from 2:40 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
This announcement is for any junior wishing to take the PSAT – which will be administered here at MLEC on Wed. – Oct. 17.
The PSAT is part of the National Merit Scholarship Program which is an annual academic competition for college recognition and scholarships that is open to all US high school juniors. This is a great opportunity for you so don’t miss out. The cost is $13.
Mr. Moffi and Ms. Mathos are starting to collect so see them ASAP.

Come together at the flagpole in front of E Building on Wednesday, September 26th to pray for your school, friends, teachers, government, and the nation. See You At The Pole. This event happens only once a year so don’t miss out! Be at the flagpole by 6:55 AM to start at 7:00 AM.

The Literary Magazine club will be sponsoring a book drive the months of September and October. Please bring in gently used paperbacks. You may drop them off in room E215 or to your English teacher to forward to Mrs. Krane. The books will be used to furnish the English teachers with personal libraries. Thank you.
The Math Club is offering tutoring for all students Mondays and Thursdays from 2:40 to 3:40 in room E119.
Oct. 19 is the Diabetes-Health Screening in our gym. Students will receive 3 credits on the new MLEC credit card for participating in the health screening." Please bring in your permission form tomorrow so our Health Academy Students can do the preliminary paperwork to be prepared for the one-day screening.
Students arriving tardy to school will be required to serve an Administrative Detention after the 2nd tardy. Administrative Detentions are served on Fridays, from 2:40-3:40 p.m. Students who do not go to the Tardy Center are still marked tardy to school by their homeroom teachers. Students with excessive tardies and absences will be referred to the Administration and face disciplinary action and suspension from participation in school activities. BE ON TIME!!! AND COME TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY!!!
Every nine weeks, students with perfect attendance, as well as NO TARDIES, will have the opportunity to win various prizes.
Students with perfect attendance for the entire school year will have the opportunity to win a very special prize. Students will be required to have been in school on time throughout the school year.
