On behalf of the Administrative Team, we would like to thank all of our faculty and staff, who made last night’s Open House a success. Students, please extend our thanks to your parents who attended our Resource Fair and Open House.
Yearbook meeting will take place after school on Thursday in room E207.
Drafting Club will meet on Wednesday, September 27th, 2006, in room A-104 at 2:40 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Students if your home school is American Senior High, the Boys Basketball Team will hold open gym tryouts on Tues., Sept. 19 from 2:45pm to 4:45 pm.
Post-Secondary Students this is just a reminder that final payments are due by Friday 9/15/06. If payment is not made by Friday, you will be withdrawn from class.
Freshman if you are interested in running for office for the Class of 2010, please pick up an application with Ms. Peraza in room E237. All applications must be turned in by Friday, September 15th by 2:30 pm. A Candidate Meeting will take place Monday, September 18, 2006 in Ms. Peraza’s room E237.
DECA members if you are interested in joining stop by room A102 for an application.
ALL DECA members need to pay their dues by September 27th, if you are going on the field trip.
Health Academy Students: HOSA Shirts are on-sale now, until September 15. Buy yours during lunchtime!
HOSA is having a meeting Tuesday, September 12th for those who are interested in joining this year’s HOSA committees.
The PSAT will be given at MLEC on Wednesday, October 18. This important test will be given to all 9th and 10th grade students. 11th grade students may also opt to take this exam, but must pay $12. Ms. Mathos and Mr. Moffi will be collecting this fee starting today. For 11th grade students, this could be an opportunity to receive national recognition and possibly scholarship money to attend a college of their choice. Don’t miss out, especially if you’re serious about going to college.
The representative from UM, Nova Southeastern Univ., and Johnson and Wales will be presenting important college information to those who are interested in the coming weeks. If you would like to attend, come by the CAP office for a pass.
Jaguars, please remember to treat your school, like your home away from home. Please place trash in its place and help keep our school clean!

Students, you can have your Academy logo embroidered on your school uniform shirt for, please contact uniform vendors. You may also purchase patches as well.
