Yearbook meeting will take place after school on Thursday in room E207.
There will be a informational meeting for students of all academies wishing to become a member of the Technical Honor Society on Wednesday September 20 @2:30 in room E124.
Freshman if you are interested in running for office for the Class of 2010, please pick up an application with Ms. Peraza in room E237. All applications must be turned in by Friday, September 15th by 2:30 pm.
A Candidate Meeting will take place Monday, September 18, 2006 in Ms. Peraza’s room E237.
DECA members if you are interested in joining stop by room A102 for an application.
Health Academy Students: HOSA Shirts are on-sale now, until September 15. Buy yours during lunchtime!
HOSA is having a meeting Tuesday, September 12th for those who are interested in joining this year’s HOSA committees.
The PSAT will be given at MLEC on Wednesday, October 18. This important test will be given to all 9th and 10th grade students. 11th grade students may also opt to take this exam, but must pay $12. Ms. Mathos and Mr. Moffi will be collecting this fee starting today. For 11th grade students, this could be an opportunity to receive national recognition and possibly scholarship money to attend a college of their choice. Don’t miss out, especially if you’re serious about going to college.
The representative from UM, Nova Southeastern Univ., and Johnson and Wales will be presenting important college information to those who are interested in the coming weeks. If you would like to attend, come by the CAP office for a pass.
The Drafting Club will hold a meeting Wednesday, September 13th. The meeting will take place in Room A-104 at 2:40 P.M. During the meeting, officers will be elected and club events for the coming year will be discussed.
Jaguars, please remember to treat your school, like your home away from home. Please place trash in its place and help keep our school clean!
The Spanish Club will meet September 13th after school in room F-207. Any student that wants to participate in the Hispanic Heritage Show, come to room F-207 that day and sign in.
The Spanish Club is looking for singers, poets, flamenco dancers, salsa dancers, guitar players, bands, etc. All are invited to attend.
Key Club will hold a meeting this Thursday, September 14th at 2:40 p.m. in room E102Q.
Students, you can have your Academy logo embroidered on your school uniform shirt for, please contact uniform vendors. You may also purchase patches as well.
MLEC’s Resource Fair and Open House will take place tonight, September 13th. Resource Fair will begin at 6:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing everyone this evening.
