First, we’d like to thank all of our students, teachers, and staff, who are showing their JAGUAR SPIRIT by wearing their TEAL & BLACK!!!
We know we are all looking forward to our Celebration Pep-Rally.
Teachers, students that are assisting with the Pep-Rally have been given a “special” yellow pep-rally pass. Please excuse those students at your discretion.
Calling all students interested in Drama Club! There will be a meeting for all students interested in joining the Drama Club on Wednesday August 30th at 2:30PM. Come out and see what we are all about!
There will be AUDITIONS for MLEC's ONE ACT PLAY'S on Sept. 6th, 7th, and 8th at 2:40PM in Building F's Auditorium. Please bring with you a one minute monologue. If you do not have a monologue prepared you will be able to do a cold reading during the audition. If you have any questions please see Mr. Goslin in F-206 or the Auditorium.
There will be a Drafting Club meeting on August 30th, 2006 at 2:40P.M. in the CAD Drafting Room A-104. During the meeting, officers will be elected.
The Academy of Entrepreneurship will hold its first meeting of the new school year on Tuesday, August 29 in F117 at 2:45 pm. Various matters directly related to the Academy will be discussed.
If any member of the Academy wishes to have an item included in the Agenda, please notify Mr. B as soon as possible.
All members of the Academy are urged to attend.
UNIFORMS – Students must wear their appropriate Uniform shirts by Monday, August 28th. STUDENTS DRESS CODE IS IN EFFECT, PLEASE DRESS APPROPRIATELY!
Additionally, all students should be wearing their IDs!
There will be a mandatory SGA meeting on Monday, August 28, 2006, @ 2:40 pm in room E230. The topic is the review and voting of the school constitution. If there are any questions, please contact one of your student government officers or Mr. Moffi in room E230.
The Miami Lakes Educational Center chapter of Future Educators of America will have its first returning members meeting next week Thursday in E209. Recruitment and activities for this year will be discussed. All returning members of FEA need to meet with Ms. Corbett-Perdomo in E209 next week Thursday immediately after school.
Mr. DePriest in TV Production is looking for a male Tap Dancer for a short film. If you can Tap or know someone who does please contact Mr. De Priest in the TV production area during lunch.
Women of Tomorrow Members need to attend a lunch meeting (during their assigned lunch period) on Friday, August 25, 2006. Please bring your lunch; a drink and treats will be provided. The meeting will be in Building "C" in the Principal's Conference Room. This is a Mandatory Meeting to determine your member status for this year.
Every nine weeks, students with perfect attendance, as well as NO TARDIES, will have the opportunity to win an mp3 player. There will also be other prizes every nine weeks. Students with perfect attendance for the entire school year will have the opportunity to win a laptop computer. Students will be required to have been in school on time throughout the school year.
