- Students, remember the new addition to the morning announcements is the principal’s word of the day. Today’s word is benevolent.
Benevolent is an adjective that means generous; kind; or doing good deeds. Here are some examples of the word used in sentences: giving money to the poor is a benevolent act. To be benevolent is to bestow benefits. The united way, like any charity, is a benevolent organization.
- Students, remind your parents that the PTSA is having a meeting this evening at 7:00 p.m. in cafeteria “F”.
- Jaguars, slogan to pump us up for this year’s FCAT should be submitted to your English teacher by this Friday, January 20th.
- The speech and debate club will meet Wednesday in e205 at 2:35. New members are welcome.
- Valentine’s Day personality pictures will be taken January 31st by appointment only. Flyers and more information are on the way.
- Auditions for the 2006 African-American history show will begin the last week of January so get your performances ready. Remember to make sure that all performances must be relevant.
- There will be a general class of 2006 meeting tomorrow in E111. All seniors should attend.
- The HOSA breakfast will be on Friday, February 3, 2006. The cost is $20.00 per student and the final day to turn in money to Ms. Pierce in A127 is tomorrow January 18th. HOSA district competition winners will be announced at the breakfast.
- Fashion tickets go on sale tomorrow during both lunches in f cafeteria and room A118.
