Administrative
- Students please inform your parents that there is a PTSA meeting scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday, November 29th at 7:00 p.m. in “F” cafeteria.
- The Entrepreneurship academy will meet today in F117, 2:45 p.m..
Academic
- ASVAB testing will take place Wednesday, November 30th in the F cafeteria. Please see Ms. Jessie Collins in E building student services for more information.
- The David Essner Mathematics Competition 25 Test will be administered Thursday, December 1st at 7:45 a.m. in the auditorium. Students who are scheduled to test must first check into their first period classes and then report to the auditorium by 7:45. Teachers who received a bright yellow list should tell students where they are to report for testing.
Clubs/Classes
- MLEC’s 2 006 yearbook is on sale. See Ms. Borges in room E-207 before and after school.
- Seniors who would like their baby picture to appear in the yearbook, need to drop off the picture in room E-207.
- Santa grams are now on-sale for $2 each. This small gift includes a hand-written message and candy. You can come to E228 to purchase one.
- The sign language club will be meeting tomorrow after school in room E221
- The diabetes screening permission forms should be turned in to Ms. Algaze in room E 124. If you did not receive a permission form, please see your English Teacher. All forms need to be returned by Wednesday, November 30th.
- This is a reminder for all students participating in DECA district competitions tomorrow Nov. 29th to report to C Cafeteria at 7:30 a.m. and bring a No. 2 pencil and a calculator.
- There will be an 07 decorating committee meeting Wednesday Nov. 30th in E228 at 2:40 p.m.
- The Drafting Club will meet this Wednesday, Nov. 30th at 2:40 in Mr. Victor’s room.
- Jaguars, since we missed the Harvest Fest due to the hurricane, we have scheduled a Winter Carnival that will take place on December 9th. Your tickets from the Harvest Fest are still good. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. See Mr. Moffi in E230.
- Holiday personality pictures will be taken this Thursday, December 1st from 11a.m.. until 12:40 p.m. You must see Ms. Corbett-Perdomo in the Activities office beginning today for an appointment. Extra flyers are available in E building student services.
Miscellaneous
- The Miami Herald is inviting students to submit short stories, essays, drawings or paintings about the holidays (Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah or a combination thereof) in South Florida. The deadline is Dec. 6. Some will be published in the paper on Dec. 25th while others will be posted on the Herald website. Bring all entries to the activities office this Friday.
