Administrative
- Students- there is not a shorts day tomorrow. Do not wear shorts tomorrow. You are to be in your regular uniform.
- Students please remind your parents that tonight is AIP night.
- There will be a PTSA meeting October 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the “F” Cafeteria.
- Teachers bubble sheets are ready for pick up in Room E102K. Bubble sheets are due back no later than Friday at NOON.
Academic
- Teachers- the PSAT will be given next week October 12th. If you have received a list of student test locations please notify your students of their testing room and room relocations. Second period will be extended Wednesday, October 12, 2005. All classes are to remain in second period until they are dismissed over the pa system. Any student scheduled to take the PSAT, Wednesday, October 12, 2005 must have a picture id in order to be admitted to testing. Teachers, because we will be using the English classrooms and the social studies classroom for PSAT testing on October 12th, it is imperative that you read the list of relocations to all of your classes this week and Tuesday of next week. You received this list printed on bright pink paper in your mailbox. Again, please read the list to all of your classes.
- Students – FIU will be hosting a college fair on their South campus – Wednesday – October 19 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Over 100 university representatives will be in attendance for you and your parents to meet. Don’t miss this great opportunity to start investigating your college options. Clubs/Classes
- Junior ring orders continue tomorrow through the American history classes. If you did not order today, the representatives will be here during lunch to take orders.
- Practice for the Hispanic Heritage show is after school daily in the F cafeteria with Pablo Rodriguez. Please see Mr. Rodriguez in F207 for more information. Spanish club will meet today in F207.
- There will be a Future Educators of America meeting today at 2:35 in F106.
- There will be a MANDATORY SGA general meeting tomorrow, Thursday, October 6th at 2:40 PM in E230. ALL class officers must attend this meeting.
- Sponsors please be sure that a club roster is forwarded to the activities office by October 13th. If you have not had a meeting please do so before the 13th so that your roster is complete. Sponsors will meet October 12th.
- Seniors your panoramic picture will be taken October 14th in the gym. Teachers on this day all seniors will report directly to the gym. If you have an all senior class, you are asked to be present.
Miscellaneous
- MLEC is proud to announce that Mr. Wilton Mui has been named a Commended Student in the 2006 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended students place in the top 5% of more than one million students who entered the 2006 competition by taking the 2004 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Once again congratulations Wilton for being recognized for your exceptional academic promise.
