Attention all staff members who received a school climate survey envelope; the deadline for the completion of this survey is today. This survey must be completed today. All instructions for the completion of this survey are contained in the envelope you received. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Mixon.
Academic
To All Instructors of High School Students If you did not turn in your Class Verification Lists yesterday, please turn it in to Ms. Bryant as soon as possible even if you do not have any corrections. If you would like your lists returned please indicate so on your cover memo. Department heads: Please follow up with your teachers. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Bubble sheets should be ready for pick up by Tuesday.
The following students need to pick up transcripts from the registrar is if you have not already done so: Whitney Watkins, Ana Garabitos, Laura Marquez-Reyes, Eugene Pollydore, Dominique Stevens, Ashley Jitta, and Juan Gonzalez .
Clubs/Classes
Tomorrow is class T-shirt day. See your class sponsors to get a t-shirt if you do not already have one.
Battle of the bands and Roc the Mic is almost here- MLEC’s finest will battle it out tomorrow in the auditorium. Tickets are on sale for $5. Tickets will be on sale until 1pm tomorrow. No tickets will be sold at the door. There will be a guest appearance from POWER 96 - D.J. Tony Yip who will be there to assist with the background tracks for the rappers.
The National Honor Society will have a meeting next Wednesday, March 16th @ 2:40 PM in E234. All students who plan to remain involved with NHS must attend.
Carol City Sr. High’s auxiliaries are having an interest meeting next Tuesday, March 15th at 6:30pm in their auditorium. Carol City’s auxiliaries include the flagettes, majorettes, and diamond dancers. All who wish to attend must bring a parent to the meeting.
If you really want to make a difference in your school, then should run for class office. If you are interested in being a class officer, applications will be available starting NEXT Monday, March 14th in E230.
There will be a prom committee meeting tomorrow after school at 2:45 in E204 to finalize plans for this year’s prom.
The class of 2006 is requesting the assistance of a few talented Junior Jaguars. The class is conducting a Design Your Class T-Shirt contest. If you are an artist, create a design for a Class of 2006 shirt on an 8 1/2 '' by 11 " sheet of paper and submit it to Ms. Ambas in E116 by Tuesday, March 15th. Class of 2006 students will vote for their favorite design on Wed. March 16th and Thurs. March 17th. The 1st place winner will receive a Gift Certificate and the honor of having his/her artwork displayed on every junior's shirt.
There will be an EMERGENCY Students Against Destructive Decisions meeting today in Mr. Reyes' room (F125) at 2:35pm.
GLSEN is having its spring break picnic Friday, March 18th. You must have a ticket to attend. Please see Ms. Duran to for more information.
Miscellaneous
Seniors, the yearbook staff is looking for more pictures of you that range from your 9th grade year until now. You can also bring in those underground pictures too. All pictures, memory sticks, and flash cards can be brought to the activities office to be uploaded. Once again, thanks to all who have contributed to this year’s yearbook.
