A Moment in Black History
On this day in 1868, William Edward Burghardt DuBois was born in Barrington, Massachusetts. WEB DuBois was a leading figure in African-American protest for most of his adult life. Dubois was instrumental in the formation of both the Niagara Movement and the NAACP. Dubois was the NAACP’s only African-American officeholder when it was chartered.

Attention All Black History show participants: There will be practice today. Please make the necessary transportation arrangements. The practice will begin promptly after school in the auditorium. All performers MUST be present and have all costumes ready for a final review.
Our Black History program will take place tomorrow. Teachers please adhere to the seating chart and attendance time.
There will be a SADD Club meeting today after school at 2:35pm in Mr. Reyes' room F125.

The “F” cafeteria will serve a soul food lunch today. The menu will be as follows: Fried Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Baked Ham, Black Eye Peas w/rice, Mashed Potatoes, Collard Greens, Cabbage, Candied Yams, and Corn Muffins
