A Moment in Black History
On this day in 1874, Frederick Douglass, an abolitionist, journalist, diplomat, who is also known as the "father of the civil rights movement,” was elected president of the Freedman's Bank and Trust to become one of the first Black bank presidents.

The MLEC drama department invites you to attend “A Night of One Act Plays” tomorrow. Tickets are five dollars. This will be the only show so get your tickets today.
There will be a SECME meeting tomorrow after school in room E-221.
Attention: All students who auditioned for the Black History show, a list of acts that qualified has been posted outside Mr. U's classroom (E237). The practice will begin promptly after school today in Mr. Grau's room (F123.) All acts MUST be present.
