A Moment in Black History
On this day in 1870 the 15th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, giving African-American men the right to vote. The amendment states: “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.

Jaguars, ID pictures are currently being taken in the “C” cafeteria from 7:30am until 11am.

Academic
Seniors, remember that Cap & Gown payments will be taken this Thursday and Friday! The cost is $21. Herff Jones will be here tomorrow to take announcement and senior memory item orders.
Attention faculty, staff, and students. The FCAT+ writing assessment will be administered to all grade ten students during second period on Tuesday, February 8, 2005. Students are to report directly to their testing rooms on Tuesday.
The following students need to pick up transcripts from the registrar if you have not F-125 done so: Gavin Britto, Jessica Vargas, and Sandra Perez
Clubs/Classes
Seniors, your senior breakfast is scheduled for Wednesday, February 23rd. To purchase your ticket, you must check with Ms. Jerome (the school treasurer) beginning Friday to clear any financial obligations.
SECME will meet tomorrow immediately after school in room E-221.
Homeroom teachers, there will be a student government homeroom representatives meeting tomorrow morning in the auditorium.
Yearbook staff, remember you need to meet the rest of this week in F106 immediately after school.
There will be a Drama club meeting today in F106 after school.
Auditions for the Black History Show will be held today and tomorrow in the auditorium. To audition, you must sign up with Mr. U. in E237. If you do not sign up, you do not audition.
There is a mandatory Interact meeting today in E215.
DECA is having an important meeting tomorrow after school in A118.
Juniors, to receive your ring at the ring ceremony, your final payments must be made by February 11th. No more payments will be taken on campus. You must contact Herff Jones to make arrangements.
The Math Club will be meeting today after school in room E119 at 2:40 to discuss the Saturday Competition. It is imperative that all competition participants attend this meeting.
There will be a SADD meeting tomorrow in F-125 Mr. Reyes' classroom. The meeting will begin promptly at 2:35pm.
