Just a reminder, the Culinary Arts Cafeteria will be closed Thursday, September 30th, Friday, October 1st, and Monday, October 4th due to preparations for our SACS/COE visit.
Teachers please pick up your lead teacher stipend checks from Ms. Wellman as soon as possible.
Academic
ATTENTION STUDENTS WHO MUST RETAKE ONE OR BOTH SECTIONS OF THE FCAT: All of your teachers have been given a listing of where you are to report for the mathematics test which is Monday, October 4th or for the reading test which is Tuesday, October 5th. Please check with your teachers for your room assignments. Students are to report directly to their testing centers and attendance will be taken there. TEACHERS: Please remember to inform students of where to report to your classes on the test dates.
Clubs/Classes
Two of our adult Culinary Arts students, Gabriel Yi and Gino Castillo won the first annual Carnival Fruit Company carving contest last night at Carnival's Harvest Celebration open house. Congratulations!
Interact and the Entrepreneurship Academy is requesting your help in providing hurricane relief to our neighbors in Haiti, now through October 8th. We are collecting clothing and various personal items. No money is being collected. See Ms. Lama or Mr. Bevilacqua for more information.
Basketball Jam tryouts will be on the basketball court. Please look for your class representative when you get there. ALL students wishing to try out for the Basketball Jam must provide proof of school insurance. The insurance may be purchased from Mr. Willenborg for $9. To try out and play, you must have proof of school insurance.
