Miami Lakes Educational Center was recently notified that two students from the Post Secondary division have been selected by the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition to receive $2,000 scholarships to assist in furthering their education.  The recipients are Ms. Guilda Bolivar and Ms. Andrea Herrera, both of whom are nearing completion of the Medical Assisting program.

Each year The Fair selects winning students based on overall academic excellence, exceptional conduct, community service, and participation in other events that exemplify their serving as role models for fellow students.

The awards ceremony and dinner honoring this year’s scholarship winners will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at the Blue Ribbon Room of the Tower Building.
