The attainment of distinction in International Marketing and Import/Export studies by being committed to educating and preparing our students for positions of leadership in the Import/Export field. This program is designed to prepare students for a career path in variety of opportunities in the international trade. The course work emphasizes development of a basic understanding of international marketing related to the import/export process, whereby the student learns the reasons for importing and exporting, and how to analyze data for developing markets. Critical to the competencies is an understanding of import and export documentation required for the international trade, as well as understanding the flow of documentation and the overall process. This program also provides supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in international occupations.
The average length of this program is 600 hours, approximately 8 months, for adults if attending full-time. Actual time is dependent upon enrollment status, whether you are a full-time or part-time student, and the length of time necessary for the student to achieve competencies. This program contains several occupational completion points designed to prepare students for various entry level jobs within this occupational area.
Must be at least 16 years old and not attending high school.
Fees for supplies, textbooks and uniforms, if required.
Students interested in the program should be people and detail oriented; enthusiastic; dependable, accurate; punctual; sales oriented; able to handle pressure; have a professional appearance; have good verbal and written communication skills and have a high energy level.
