Miami Lakes Educational Center is solving the nursing shortage two classes at a time.

On February 4th 2005 twenty-four Practical Nursing students completing the day class with Ms. Karla Schweers and Mrs. Virgin Van der Vlugt and eighteen students completing the evening with Ms. Karen Crider participated in a pinning ceremony and celebration to mark the dedication and commitment that they displayed to meet their dream.  Family and friends of the graduates were commended for their support and guidance that assisted them in reaching their goal.

Six Practical Nursing classes are in progress at this time, another will enter in July.  The Health Science program also offers Medical Assisting with two classes in progress and Patient Care Technician with six classes in progress.  Interested individuals who would like to join a growing medical team and qualify for the many job opportunities are encouraged to see our counselors for further information.
