School Board Member Dr. Robert Ingram. We dedicate this moment of
silence in his honor.

Good morning, Jaguars! These are today’s announcements.
Teachers, if you had a problem logging in to your grade book this
morning please check your e-mail for new instructions. We thank you for
submitting attendance in a timely manner.
Teachers, effective Wednesday, September 5th 2007, a new dismissal route
for 2nd lunch will be implemented. Please inform your students to use
the West staircase of the "E" building to avoid disturbing the 1st floor
classes. A security monitor and administrator will be in placed to
assist with facilitating this new process. Your immediate
cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Freshman interested in running for Class of 2011 office see Mr. Moffi in
E-230.
Cheerleading meeting Thursday, Sept 7th @ 2:30 pm, room E124
The officers of the Interact Club will meet today (Thursday) at 2:40pm
in room E202, with Mrs. Biddings to plan for the year.
There will not be a meeting today Thursday of the Spanish Club. The next
meeting will be next Wednesday, 9-12-07 after school in room F-207. All
are asked to attend. New members are welcome.
Wanna dance? Whether you’re a girl or a guy,
come try out to be a part of the MLEC dace team. Meet with Ms. Abreu on
Friday, September 7th at 2:40 p.m. in room A-102. We look forward to
seeing you there.
DECA is holding a meeting on Thursday, September 6th at 2:40 p.m. All
new and existing members are welcome. This meeting is mandatory! If you
have any questions or concerns please contact Franchesca Vasquez,
Courtney Ritchie or Ms. Abreu, room A102.
ATTENTION ALL ECOLOGY CLUB MEMBERS AND STUDENTS INTERESTED IN FINDING
OUT ABOUT THE ECOLOGY CLUB ACTIVITIES, PROJECTS AND FIELD TRIPS.
THERE WILL BE AN ECOLOGY CLUB MEETING THIS THURSDAY AFTERNOON, SEPTEMBER
6 AT 2:40PM IN ROOM E224.
This announcement is for any junior wishing to take the PSAT – which
will be administered here at MLEC on Wed. – Oct. 17.
The PSAT is part of the National Merit Scholarship Program which is an
annual academic competition for college recognition and scholarships
that is open to all US high school juniors. This is a great
opportunity for you so don’t miss out. The cost is $13.
Mr. Moffi and Ms. Mathos are starting to collect so see them ASAP.
Every nine weeks, students with perfect attendance, as well as NO
TARDIES, will have the opportunity to win various prizes.
Students with perfect attendance for the entire school year will have
the opportunity to win a very special prize. Students will be required
to have been in school on time throughout the school year.
SAVE THE DATE! Seniors this is a reminder to attend Senior Parent
Night Monday, September 10th at 6pm.
