The ASVAB will be given here on Wednesday – April 7 in our school’s auditorium. This Career Exploration Program is open to any 10th – 11th or 12th grade student who wishes to take this interest survey.  The exam helps identify careers that a student may pursue in their future based on their personal abilities, strengths and aptitudes related to a vocational or career field.
Please see Ms. Mathos to sign up now through March 24th.

The African American Club is sponsoring their second annual College / University tour.  There is only room for (50) students.  It will be based on a first come, first serve basis.  Don't delay pay today to reserve your seat.  It is sure to be an educational experience.  For more information, please contact Mr. Campbell, in student services or any other club member.  See you on the bus!
  
The last Saturday school session will be held this Saturday, March 6, 2010, from 8am to 12pm, in building E 1st floor.  We are offering Reading, Math and Physical Science.   

Students purchase your wristband for MLEC’s Dress Down Day brought to you by your PTSA. Dress Down Day will take place this Friday, March 6th listen for more details, rules, and regulations. Wristbands are $2.

The Miami-Dade County Youth Fair will be open March 25th – April 11th! Save money and support your MLEC PTSA by purchasing DISCOUNT TICKETS now through March 17th purchase P*O*P Ride Cards, General Admission tickets, and ride coupons. SPECIAL 2 for 1 admission for Opening Day with your advance sale ticket! For more information stop by the Student Activities office or you may purchase during both lunches!

Seniors, your Senior Panoramic Picture will be taken Wednesday, March 24th stay tuned for more details regarding this class event!!!

SENIORS!!! Cap & Gown payments are being taken through your Gov’t and Economics classes make sure you bring your $22 CASH ONLY!

Students are reminded to come to school each day on time! Students if you are absent, remember that 5 unexcused absences in an annual course, or 3 unexcused absences in a semester course, will result in a no credit (N/C) for the class.  MLEC is in a block schedule, therefore 5 unexcused absences in an annual course WILL result in 10 unexcused absences and WILL result in a no credit being issued, and 3 unexcused absences in a semester course will equal six absences and also result in a no credit.  Remember if you are absent you MUST bring a note and receive an admit to excuse your absence. Admits are issued in the Student Services Office prior to the start of school each day and during lunch and after school in the Main Office with Ms. Wellman. Do not be absent unnecessarily
Students arriving tardy to school must sign in at the Tardy Center. Students with excessive tardies will be required to serve an Administrative Detention.  BE ON TIME!!! AND COME TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY!!!
