Underclass Pictures will be taken Thursday, September 24th and Friday, September 25th will be scheduled through their respective English classes. Students may dress for success in lieu of there school uniform.

All faculty and staff are encouraged to take their picture at their convenience throughout either day.

Tomorrow evening, we will be celebrating our Resource Fair and Open House, students please remind your parents to join us tomorrow at 6PM!

Freshman! We are happy to announce that your class colors are BLUE & BLACK!!! Remember Class of 2019 Basketball Team members – Practice will take place after school Monday – Thursday!

Teachers and staff – Representatives from VALIC will be on campus Monday from 10AM-4PM.

The National Technical Honor Society will meet on Thursday Sept 24, 2009 at 2:40 pm in room A102.

The Bible Group presents the Timothy Generation. It meets every Thursday, right after school in room B-210. Refreshments will be served.

There will be a Spanish Club meeting will be held next week on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in Mr. Rodriguez room F-207. New members are welcomed.

Those students who want to participate for the Hispanic Heritage Show will have to attend to one of the following mandatory audition dates: September 21st or 24th. 

Students who are interested in signing up to participate in the Hispanic heritage show may sign up in Mr. Rodriguez Room, F207.

THERE WILL BE A MEETING FOR THE CHEER CLUB ON MONDAY, 9/21/09 IN ROOM A125 AT 2:40 PM.  PLEASE BRING YOUR IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS. YOU MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE TEAM.

The Hispanic Heritage Committee is having a door contest, as part of our Hispanic Heritage Celebration. The winner will be announced on October 12, and will receive a pastelito party through 2nd period homeroom. All doors must be completed by October 8, in order to enter the contest. Our theme is "Embracing MLEC's Hispanic Roots, As We Welcome Our Cultural Diversity".

Teachers please excuse Class of 2013 candidates at this time to come to the Student Activities Office.  

SADD club will meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.  The first meeting will be September 22, 2009 at 2:40 in student service conference room.

GSA club will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 2:40 in the student service conference room.

Dance Team will hold tryouts on Tuesday, September 22nd, afterschool at the gym. Anyone interested should show up that date.

Save the Date for these upcoming events …

Students are reminded to come to school each day on time! Students if you are absent, remember that 5 unexcused absences in an annual course, or 3 unexcused absences in a semester course, will result in a no credit (N/C) for the class.  MLEC is in a block schedule, therefore 5 unexcused absences in an annual course WILL result in 10 unexcused absences and WILL result in a no credit being issued, and 3 unexcused absences in a semester course will equal six absences and also result in a no credit.  Remember if you are absent you MUST bring a note and receive an admit to excuse your absence. Admits are issued in the Student Services Office prior to the start of school each day and during lunch and after school in the Main Office with Ms. Cheron. Do not be absent unnecessarily

Students arriving tardy to school must sign in at the Tardy Center. Students with excessive tardies will be required to serve an Administrative Detention.  BE ON TIME!!! AND COME TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY!!!
