We would like to congratulate Kelvin Rojas and Robin Simpson on being selected Gates Millennium Scholars!

Congratulations to Erika Ariza who received a $1,000 Scholarship from the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce.  Erika will be attending Miami International University of Art & Design; her major will be Web Design and Interactive Media.

Congratulations to winners Dakota Baker and Vanessa Alonso on their top 3 placement in the Safety Campaign Poster contest.

Students, remember that yearbooks are on sale!  Reserve your full color copy now!  Once they're sold out, they're gone for good! Yearbooks can be purchased from Mrs. Borges in room E-207 before school and during lunch.

SENIORS YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO SCHOOL THE DAY OF PROM IN ORDER TO ATTEND!!!

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” will take place Thursday, April 23, 2009. Through this nationally recognized program, girls and boys, ages 8 to 18, are encouraged to accompany their parents, mentors, or guardians to work.

Field trip forms will be available to our students today, Friday, April 17th through the student services office during both lunches and after school. Students must return their field trip forms to the student services office by Tuesday, April 21st.

Students are reminded to come to school each day on time! Students if you are absent, remember that 5 unexcused absences in an annual course, or 3 unexcused absences in a semester course, will result in a no credit (N/C) for the class.  Remember if you are absent you MUST bring a note and receive an admit to excuse your absence. DO NOT GIVE YOUR NOTE TO YOUR HOMEROOM TEACHER. Admits are issued in the Student Services Office prior to the start of school each day and during lunch and after school in the Main Office with Ms. Cheron. Do not be absent unnecessarily. 
Students arriving tardy to school must sign in at the Tardy Center in the C Cafeteria. Students with excessive tardies will be required to serve an Administrative Detention.  BE ON TIME!!! AND COME TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY!!!  If you have any questions regarding attendance please speak to Mrs. Forteza in the Student Services Office.
