Students, remember that yearbooks are on sale!  Reserve your full color copy now!  The last three years, yearbooks have SOLD OUT!  Once they're sold out, they're gone for good! Yearbooks can be purchased from Mrs. Borges in room E-207 before school and during lunch.

If you are currently taking an AP class through Florida Virtual School please pay close attention to this announcement.  As of January 2009, Florida Virtual School is now requiring that all students taking an AP class online take the corresponding AP exam in their home school in May.  Students who do not take the AP exam will ONLY receive Honors credit for the class.  Virtual School will be distributing exam participation verification forms in February.  If you are taking or have completed an online AP class this school year, you are required to either bring your verification form to Mrs. Ambas-Viada in E238 by Feb 28 or contact your online instructor to switch your class to an Honors level. 

The African American Club is hosting our luncheon on 2-23-09 during both lunches in the "C" cafe.  Tickets for the African American Luncheon will be on sale today at the cost of $10.00 and can be purchased from Mr. Campbell or any of the club officers. 

There will be a mandatory Black History Show meeting  / practice immediately after school today.  All participants need to report.

The HBCU / College Tour is right around the corner.  Don't delay pay your funds today or by the deadline of March 5th 2009.  All interested students please see Mr. Campbell or any member of the African American Club.

The Graphics Design club is collecting backpacks and school supplies for children in the Dominican Republic. If you would like to help in the Backpack Republic drive, see Ms. Soto in C-119 or Ms. Tigerino E-102H for more information.

Today 1867 an institution was founded at Augusta, Georgia which was later to become Morehouse College, following its relocation to Atlanta. Morehouse College is one of the most prestigious black colleges in the nation.
This moment in Black history was sponsored by the 5000 Role Models of Excellence.

Students are reminded to come to school each day on time! Students if you are absent, remember that 5 unexcused absences in an annual course, or 3 unexcused absences in a semester course, will result in a no credit (N/C) for the class.  Remember if you are absent you MUST bring a note and receive an admit to excuse your absence. DO NOT GIVE YOUR NOTE TO YOUR HOMEROOM TEACHER. Admits are issued in the Student Services Office prior to the start of school each day and during lunch and after school in the Main Office with Ms. Cheron. Do not be absent unnecessarily. 
Students arriving tardy to school must sign in at the Tardy Center in the C Cafeteria. Students with excessive tardies will be required to serve an Administrative Detention.  BE ON TIME!!! AND COME TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY!!!  If you have any questions regarding attendance please speak to Mrs. Forteza in the Student Services Office.
