The Annual United Way Campaign has begun. Be sure to bring your contribution to help as your class competes for some special incentives! Teachers please return United Way collection envelopes to the Student Activities Office by 10 a.m.

Students - Thursday, October 19th will be a United Way Shorts Day and Walk-A-Thon! Donate $3.00 and you will receive a wristband so you can wear shorts. Students with wristbands will be allowed to participate in our Walk during 5th Period form 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. See Ms. Castro in the Activities Office (F106), Ms. Evans (E228) or Mr. Moffi in E230 to purchase yours today!

Members of the Women of Tomorrow, the lunch meeting for Wednesday, October 18th has been cancelled. The next meeting is a MANDATORY mentoring session on October 25th at 9:00 AM. Our mentors will be present and a continental breakfast will be served. Remember all field trips must be turned in by Wednesday, October 18th to Ms. Jones.

Students interested in joining the Sign Language Club, please meet in the Auditorium, today after school.

The next '07 officer meeting will be Monday October 23 at 2:40 in Ms. Evans's room E228.

DECA is selling "Boo" Grams for $2 each.

Sophomore basketball team practice will be held Thursday October 19th immediately after school.

On Saturday, October 14, 2006, the Miami Lakes Key Club participated in the Greater Miami Lakes Kiwanis Club Walkathon; we are please to announce that Ian Sequeria came in second amongst students from other local high schools students and adults. Congratulations to Ian for a job well done.

Every nine weeks, students with perfect attendance, as well as NO TARDIES, will have the opportunity to win an mp3 player. There will also be other prizes every nine weeks. Students with perfect attendance for the entire school year will have the opportunity to win a laptop computer. Students will be required to have been in school on time throughout the school year.
