The Annual United Way Campaign has started. Be sure to bring your contribution to help as your class competes for some special incentives! Teachers please return United Way collection envelopes to the Student Activities Office by 10 a.m.

Students - Thursday, October 19th will be a United Way Shorts Day and Walk-A-Thon! Donate $3.00 and you will receive a wristband so you can participate in our Walk during our 3rd Block Walk! See Ms. Castro in the Activities Office or Mr. Moffi in E230 to purchase yours today!

Students, school pictures are being taken today, October 17th through your English classes.

Students interested in joining the Sign Language Club, please meet in the Auditorium, Wednesday, October 18th after school.

THE PSAT/NMQT WILL BE ADMINISTERED WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2006. ALL NINTH GRADERS, TENTH GRADERS AND SELECTED ELEVENTH GRADERS WILL PARTICIPATE IN TESTING. STUDENTS, CHECK WITH YOUR TEACHERS FOR YOUR ROOM ASSIGNMENTS. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE ID IN ORDER TO TEST. PLEASE ALSO BRING WITH YOU 2 SHARPENED #2 PENCILS. YOU MAY ALSO BRING YOUR OWN CALCULATOR.

TEACHERS THE 1ST BLOCK WILL BE EXTENDED TOMORROW INDEFINITELY. PLEASE DO NOT DISMISS STUDENTS UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO.

Seniors, if you have not taken your senior portrait, please call Fox-Mar and make an appointment soon or your picture will not appear in the yearbook! DEADLINE – October 22nd.

DECA will be selling "Boo" Grams starting today for $2 each.

SGA Officers there will be a meeting today after school in room E230.

Sophomore basketball team practice will be held Thursday October 19th immediately after school.

On Saturday, October 14, 2006, the Miami Lakes Key Club participated in the Greater Miami Lakes Kiwanis Club Walkathon; we are please to announce that Ian Sequeria came in second amongst students from other local high schools students and adults. Congratulations to Ian for a job well done.

Every nine weeks, students with perfect attendance, as well as NO TARDIES, will have the opportunity to win an mp3 player. There will also be other prizes every nine weeks. Students with perfect attendance for the entire school year will have the opportunity to win a laptop computer. Students will be required to have been in school on time throughout the school year.
